In the state of Ohio, you have the legal right to choose where you would like to have your vehicle repaired without any limitations from your insurance company.

You should always make sure you choose a shop with a guarantee/warranty. If your vehicle is completed and something still doesn’t look right, you should contact the shop immediately! Bring it back to a Collision Center to have it inspected. If damage is accident related, you will not be responsibile. Sunnyside Collision will be happy to look at your car if you had it repaired at another shop and would like a second opinion.

This will depend on the severity of your vehicle’s damage. It could be a minimum of 2-3 days or as many as 6 weeks. You will be notified if the process will require extra time.

You should choose a repair shop that has “State of the art” equipment and certified technicians (I-CAR and ASE)

You can pay by Cash, Check and all Major Credit Cards except American express. Money orders are taken as well.

1. Adjusters Name– The name of your insurance company’s representative who is handling your claim. Most companies have an inside and outside adjuster. An inside adjuster is the person you have contact with. The outside adjuster is someone who will look at your vehicle when you bring it in the shop.  Some insurance companies have an adjuster who handles the whole process.
2. Phone Number -The claim adjuster’s phone number in order for your collision expert to provide you with the very best service.
3. Claim Number – Number you receive when you call your insurance company to file a claim.

1. Warranty – Does the shop of your choice guarantee their work?
2. Policy on Aftermarket Parts – The Insurance Industry has favored the use of aftermarket parts for Collision Center use. Sunnyside Collision will only use aftermarket parts if they offer a professional fit in your vehicle. Sunnyside will try to have the parts department price-match the part in order to make sure it fits properly in your vehicle.
3. Sublet Work – This work refers to all procedures and repairs that cannot be completed inside the body shop. It is important to know what type of work is being subletted, if the sublet company is certified and what type of equipment they are using (cutting edge or antiquated tools). Keep in mind whether or not they guarantee their work and what their policy on aftermarket parts is.
4. Certifications – How can you be assured your car is in the hands of a professional? By choosing a shop that has staff who meet and exceed industry specific classes. Body technicians should be ASE & I-Car certified in all areas of the automotive service industry to provide you with a complete, safe and quality repair.

The shop hereby provides a Limited Warranty on repairs performed by the shop. This warranty is valid only for as long as you own the vehicle stated herein and is for the person to whom the Limited Warranty is granted and whose name appears herien and on the original work order. This is a LABOR ONLY, fragmented four-part Limited Warranty, and stipulations pertaining to each fragmented part are stated hereafter. Warranty covers Metal Work, Painting, Stripes and Decals, Mechanical Repairs and Parts.

Absolutely. It does not matter whether your vehicle is foreign or domestic make, Sunnyside Collision experts are trained to perform estimates on all vehicles.

You can only receive your free estimate online but not over the phone. Why? Sunnyside wants to assure you that your estimate is done once and done right the first time! It is very difficult for collision experts to write you a professional estimate with just an image of the car. Without your car present, experts cannot prepare  you an accurate estimate that captures all damages. Hidden damages may be missed and the estimate you receive may be flawed.

No but you are encouraged to schedule an appointment ahead of time, so a collision expert is available to meet with you right away and assist you with your estimate. If you do not have a scheduled appointment, you are still welcome! We will be with you as soon as possible.

Time of estimate will vary anywhere from 10 minutes to a half hour depending on the severity of your vehicle's damage. All collision experts are trained and ready to perform quick and professional estimates in a timely fashion. While your estimate is being written, we encourage you to ask questions!

There is no minimum or maximum amount required. The number of estimates will depend on your personality and comfort level. It is never a bad idea to receive more than one estimate. This can help you avoid overcharges but be alert about significantly low estimates, as that may signal important procedures eliminated from the process just to offer you a lower estimate. If you have already have an estimate, bring in it and we will work with you on matching it.

Just yourself and your vehicle will need to be present to receive your free estimate.

Stay persistent. When your situation is finally resolved and if you are still not happy, it is in your best interest to choose a new insurance company.

Variations in estimates happen for several reasons. Anything that is a considered a repair on the damaged vehicle is a judgment call from the eye of the person looking at the vehicle. The choice of parts used make a big difference. Some collision centers will write for used or aftermarket parts without being told to by the insurance companies. Others may use OEM Genuine parts or aftermarket parts per your request. Additional reasons stem from the expenses inquired from the equipment used and state of the art facilities. But one of the major reasons estimates vary is due to how the estimating systems focus on different variables, including how the cost of labor is handled. It is important to recognize that additional items/repairs are frequently needed to repair the vehicle properly. It is the shops obligation to make certain that all necessary repairs are completed properly regardless of the initial estimate.

It is always nice if the car is cleaned before you receive your free estimate. This is helpful for us when writing your estimate and will allow us to see things like light scratches that cannot be seen on a dirty car.

You have the right to choose your repair shop. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a specific repair facility.

Contact your Insurance company and tell them that you want Sunnyside Collision to perform the repairs

You will hear from many insurance companies that they require a certain number, however, in Ohio there is no requirement. Many insurance companies will try and steer you into taking your car to the Collision Center with the lowest estimate. You are not required to do so! Be alert, as many Collision Centers will write your estimate low just so they can land the job.

You do not need to come in until your scheduled appointment. You can fax or email  your estimate over to the Collision Center of your choice. Once we have your information, you will receive a call from a collision expert. He/she will help you schedule your appointment to have your vehicle brought in for repair. After your vehicle is in the shop and taken apart, if there are additional parts needed, a new estimate sheet will be generated and you and your insurance company will be notified before moving forward.

The deductible is due when your car’s repairs are completed. You can pay with cash, check and all major credit cards except American Express. Money orders are accepted.
